MULTI-ROOM AUDIO: At Sonance, we don't underestimate the power of music. Music makes the moment -- from the party you're having in your home or backyard, to just relaxing alone in your bedroom, music is an important part of our lives. Sonance Multi-Room (aka Distributed Audio) products allow you to enjoy music throughout your home without the clutter or inconvenience of multiple stereos. Multi-Room audio is a great way to make sure you can enjoy Mozart in the Kitchen while your kids are listening to Brittney Spears or Eminem in their bedrooms.

Distributed Audio or Multi-Room Audio are audio systems that allow for the distribution of music to multiple rooms. There are many ways to build these systems ranging from simple speaker selection systems to multiple source systems that allow you to listen to different music in different rooms. Below you will find three separate options for building a distributed audio system. These three options are just a few of the many options we offer at Sonance and each option can be varied or built upon.

SSVCs: The SS4VC and SS6VC are speaker selectors with a built-in volume control that allow for your stereo's amplifier to be distributed to different locations throughout the house and/or yard. They provide a very simple solution for distributed audio but are limited to the same source. This means if you are playing a CD in the living room you can only listen to that same CD in your other music locations. Still the SS4VC or SS6VC are both very practical choices for the person wanting a simple solution. The SS4VC offers four room distribution while the SS6VC offers six room distribution.

Sonamp 260MKII or Sonamp SAT275 with In-Wall Volume Controls: The Sonamp 260MKII or the Sonamp SAT275 will power 8 ohm speakers in 4 rooms simultaneously. Installing In-Wall Volume Controls into each room will allow you to adjust the sound in each area. This is another option that is very simple yet does not allow for separate source. You can also use a Sonamp 260x3MKII with built-in 3 zone speaker selectors to deliver sound into 3 rooms.


Sonamp 1230 or 1250MKII with Nav Harbor and Nav K2 In-Wall Keypad Systems: The Sonamp1230 provides 30 watts of power to 12 speakers (or 6 zones) while the Sonamp 1250MKII provides 50 watts of power to 12 speakers. Add a Nav Harbor to allow for separate sourcing (listen to a CD in one area while listening to the radio in another area). Then install Nav K2 keypad systems to control the source of music, select radio stations, select TV stations and more from each area that has a K2 installed.
